“Team ornaments”

Merry Christmas to the best Second Grade Crew! I painted these wood slice ornaments for each of my team members this year, 2021.

“Snowflake Ornaments”

Snowflake ornaments: acrylic paint on wood slice ornaments. Snowflake charms add a nice touch. Merry Christmas 2021!

"Turtle Tie Dye"

While trying to think of a color combination for this, I spread out some bottles of paint into a color wheel on the floor. Our Map Turtle, West, was placed in the middle but couldn't decide on a color and didn't move. So another turtle, Bubbles got to choose. She decided on these colors.

"Blue and Green"

These are my husband's and my favorite colors.

"Summer Tie Dye"

These colors make me think of summer, tie dye, and popsicles. Bright, cheery, and light.

"Underwater Kiss"

This reminds me of an underwater scene with coral and curious underwater creatures. The one in the middle reminds me of Gene Simmons from "Kiss".

"Hurricane"

This reminded my dad of a hurricane. I was thinking tie dye. I love the colors and texture. It's almost treacherous, but calming at the same time.

"Not Bob Ross"

My son and I decided to try to paint with Bob Ross one day over the summer. This doesn't look like Bob Ross's, but I got the colors the way I wanted. I made it mine and there are no mistakes in art!

"Happy Flower"

After not painting like Bob Ross, I decided to paint a similar flower to go with the first. I would have loved to decorate my childhood bedroom around these paintings.

"Light at the End of the Tunnel"

The journey will be treacherous, but I know you'll come out stronger, braver, and smarted than before going in.

"Splash of Red"

The frightening splash of red seems to haunt me and some of my paintings. I feel better after painting it, then don't want to look at it again.

"Drip Drops"

My daughter wanted to buy this ink and asked if we could play and make "drip drops" together. We love the color and I plan to create more with this ink.

“Suburban”

With an urban-type of design, but with country-type colors, it seems like an interesting blend between the two, like a suburban community.

"Birds in Flight"

I've always loved watching birds. It's intriguing that when flying together, they move seamlessly and form shapes like clouds, but quickly look like something else. I squeezed in my initials "A" and "H".

"Mini Monet"

The colors and brushstrokes remind me a bit of Monet. It also makes me thing of those Magic Eye pictures that were popular back in the '90's. A friend bought me one and I had it hanging in my bedroom. I think everyone else could see it except for me.

"Sweet Moves"

This reminded my husband of the guy in front of the car dealership with the sweet moves! Thanks Sweet Dee!

"No Shape"

I love the abstract shape and color combination of this piece. My dad and I had a lengthy phone conversation discussing this painting. I don't think he likes it very much, but it almost made me like it even more.
